Obituary of Helen Irene Huniak

HUNIAK (Peters), Helen It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Nana, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Helen was called to heaven on January 12, 2018. She was born in Aberdeen, SK on August 21, 1936. Helen is survived by her daughters, Catherine, Shelley and Judi and by her son, Mark (Sheri). She was Nana to Evan, Colleen (Rick), Kristen (Tyler) and their daughter Cahllie, Derek (special friend Nicole), Matthew (Jade), Kianna and Kaylee. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Les Fairbrother and sisters-in-law, Elsie Huniak and Janise and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband Leonard; two children Joslyn and Lance; parents, John and Katherine (Olfert) Peters; brothers, John, Harvey and William Peters and sisters, Mary Gustafson and Agatha Fairbrother. Helen worked various banquet jobs over the years. After her retirement she enjoyed her grandchildren, crossword puzzles, the lobby channel, her Tuesday coffee group and the Riders.
