Obituary of Leonard Giesbrecht

Leonard (Len) Giesbrecht passed away peacefully in Saskatoon on February 15, 2024, surrounded by family.  Len was born on September 13, 1938 in Mullingar, Saskatchewan to John and Aganetha Giesbrecht.  Len is survived by his children, Darren, Sheri (Cory Fengstad) and Michelle (Dana Uhryniw), his grandchildren, Brandon, Alex and Brandi, and two great-grandchildren, Alerra and Rylee. 

He is predeceased by his loving wife Victoria, his parents John and Aganetha, and siblings Agnes and Edward.  He is survived by his brother's, Peter and Ron, and his sister's, Helen and Mary (Mick). 

His family moved around a lot in his early years, eventually settling down in Saskatoon, which is where he met the love of his life, Vicky.  They were married in 1967, and raised their three children in Saskatoon. 

Len provided for his family by working in the optical industry for over 50 years, where he made many friends and it provided him an opportunity to visit places all around the world.  Len will be lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.

Funeral service to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Westwood Funeral Chapel located at 1402 20th Street W, Saskatoon.  The family invites you to join them for refreshments following the service, at St George's Senior Citizen's Centre at 1235 20th Street W.
