Obituary of Gloria Mildred Belhumeur

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gloria Mildred Belhumeur on November 6, 2023 of Saskatoon, SK. Gloria was born in Victor, Manitoba on July 13,1951.

As a young girl she lived in Victor and St.Lazare, Manitoba and later moved to Saskatoon with family in 1958.

Gloria was predeceased by her mother, Marie Pearl Pritchard and is survived by her two loving sisters, Delores McCartney (Don McCartney) and Donna Pritchard (Wes Friesen); nieces, Sherry, Michelle, Ariel and Melanie; nephews, Tyler, Deon and Len; also including great niece's and nephews.

Gloria was truly loved by all that knew her including her caregivers and friends at Parkridge Centre in Saskatoon; since Gloria moved there in 2011. These people at Parkridge were Gloria's family equally with her relatives, and were there for her during Gloria's final moments. Gloria's strong mind wanted to stay on earth, but her body was in disagreement. Gloria contracted polio as a very small child; in some ways it inhibited Gloria, but in most ways it did not because Gloria loved life. She was happy with many things that other people take for granted.

Gloria's biggest passion was her many dolls and stuffed animals and all her life she also loved doing art projects. Gloria was a beautiful, kind, sweet and funny little lady who emitted a light on everyone she had met. Per Gloria's request she will be laid to rest with her beloved mother Marie.

A Celebration of Gloria's Life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Westwood Funeral Chapel. (1402 - 20th Street W)
