Obituary of Lester James Morin

Lester James Morin was born on November 29, 1959, in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan to parents Dorthee Morin and Robert Choumont. His childhood was spent in Meadow Lake and Snowden, Saskatchewan. He grew up on a farm near Snowden where he loved hunting and fishing, and adventures with his brother and foster siblings.

He enjoyed fixing small motors, and spending time with family and friends. Lester spent most of his adult life in Saskatoon. He was a jokester and was always trying to get a laugh from those who spent time with him.

Lester passed away on September 19th, 2023. He is survived by his mother (Dorthee Morin), and his children - Stepsons (

Joey, Elias and Delaney Bear), son (Lance Bear and Donny Bird), and daughters (Lynette Bear and Nadine Bear), his siblings - brothers (Cody Morin, Gus Jules), and sisters (Tina Jules, Connie Jules, Cheryl Matchet, Debbie Morin, Denise Choumont).

He is preceded in death by his partner (Kathy Bear), brothers (Duke Jules, Robert “Chucka” Choumont), and his dad (Robert Choumont).
