Obituary of Pamela Kowbel

With sad hearts we announce the passing of our mother/grandmother Pamela Kowbel of Saskatoon, Sask. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 peacefully surrounded by family in her residence at St. Ann’s.

Pam was born in Saskatoon to Stephen and Mary Kowbel February 11, 1947. She attended high school at Mount Royal Collegiate and graduated in 1966. She started working for Manpower/Federal Government when she was 19yrs old, until she retired at the age of 58. 

She enjoyed rodeos, knitting baby sweaters for family and friends, church, spending time with her grandchildren and watching the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Toronto Blue Jays on T.V.

Pam is survived by her son Kevin Kowbel (Sandra, Jasmine and Brooke), brothers, Barry Kowbel (Leslie, Rachel), Alan Kowbel (Elsha, Shauna and Ryan, (Payton and Matthew) sisters Susan Lutz (Darrick and Nicole, Conrad), Beverly Kowbel (Michel), Patricia Hyslop (Chris, Alyne (Livia and Eyan), Josh and Julia (Everett).

She is preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Mary Kowbel.

There will be a short graveside service at the Woodlawn cemetery on Wednesday, July 5th, at 1:00pm. For those wishing to attend please meet at the cemetery gates at 12:45 pm.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the staff at St. Ann’s Nursing home for their many years of heart-warming care. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the MS society.
