My condolences to the family for the loss of Doris. I have many fond memories of visiting Aunty Bernie and Doris with my Mom (Claudette Souter). I credit Doris’s wisdom and guidance for the easy births of all my children and am thankful for the path of natural health and healing that she taught me.

Doris was a beloved lunch supervisor at Grandview Heights School in Edmonton. She always brought our staff and students kindness, compassion and humour. She was a true delight and bright light for all she met.

Lorrie, Cam, Family and Friends:
Our sincerest condolences to each of you on the loss of your cherished Mom, Mom-in-law, Grandma and Friend. It was a sad day yesterday when I learned of the passing of a beautiful soul - Doris. She was the “Best” of a one of a kind.
I will never forget first meeting her several years ago at the clinic in Delisle. We chatted, she took my hands and I forever became a fan! One of my opportunities to visit her was at a town garage sale. I purchased one of her items which I thought my tiny grandchildren would enjoy. I was right. That musical teddy bear that played the Beatles “Today Is Your Birthday”, had my two little ones dancing and dancing on many occasions when they came to visit. Imagine that! She could pass along her joy without even meeting someone! That day Doris gave me a small fabric angel, which to this day hangs in our entrance. She was just such a loving, kind, interesting, regal, and unforgettable character! It was always a pleasure to run into her! I thanked her many times for her gift to all of us “Lorrie and her family!”
We can only imagine the multitude of loving, warm memories you have that will bring a smile and keep her near. Hers was a life well lived! Our sympathies to each of you.

In loving memory of a magical and courageous soul. Rest well Doris, I will never forget the first time you met me and I met you. It was at Ray and Linda’s ranch and she came out of the car and immediately began rubbing my arms, offering praise of the Holy Spirit and hugging me with her healing anecdotes of wisdom. Doris showed me and my husband (her nephew Juston) how to live a life ruled by yourself and your own courageous intentions. She reminded us to be our authentic selves despite what others say and to own your purpose and honor your spirit. She is a legend and will always be remembered by us for her love of color, music, and movement. Rest well love, Juston Stephanie and Olea.

I’m sorry to hear that Doris has left us.
She was a wonderful lady and made a huge impact in so many lives. I met Doris decades ago through my mother Clara, who became a friend and was helped by Doris to a healthie life. Doris was loving and generous with her heart and gifts. My sister Marilyn, my sister cousin Shely and myself were informed and enlightened by her friendship and knowledge.
I was comforted to hear that she passed peacefully in the arms of her daughter Laurie. Doris deserved that loving touch.
May she Rest In Peace, My kind condolences to Laurie and all of Doris’ family and friends.
And thank you to Doris” family for uploading the wonderful photo of Doris! I sense that they knew and loved her, and appreciated her joy and great commitment to sharing her amazing vitality with others.
With love,
Sharon Moore-Foster
