Remembering growing up my Uncle Tony stayed with my Family off and on. My dad Peter and Tony were typical brothers that either argued or got along.
At 14 I moved in with my Uncle Tony and Baba. I was thrilled when I asked him to pull a bottle of booze for me so I could go out and party. Asked Uncle Tony what time I should be home and he said whenever I wanted, needless to say I was home sober by 11 PM that night!
He always made it known to me that if it wasn’t for celebrating one of his Birthday’s 33 years ago I wouldn’t of met my husband Ron, longest relationship I had!
When Zachary, Kayla and Stephanie were small their mom attempted to make homemade borscht for supper, never seen Uncle Tony laugh so hard when he noticed that she had taken leaves off the backyard tree to simmer in pot instead of bay leaves!
Years ago had good times camping except when we went looking for my daughter and his girls off finding boys!
Last few years in and out of hospital was tough, happy we visited last Friday.
