Jim will be fondly remembered and missed by all long-time members of St.David's United Church. I was baptized, confirmed, and raised in the church through Sunday School and regular church services, which continued on through many decades into adulthood thanks to my late Mother Daisy Jean Spurgeon. I remember when I was a young kid and going out to the Leach's family acreage for special occasion church summer bbq's and participating in potato sack races, three-legged races, and so many more innocent fun activities that were a staple of that time. Over the remaining years, whenever I saw Jim, he would always ask how you were and was so kind to speak with, and he truly enjoyed hearing about your life.
We all share in your loss of such a special man.
My sincere sympathy to the family. - Bev Kowaluk (nee Spurgeon)
