Obituary of Estrelito Monroy Barut

ESTRELITO Monroy (LAUR) BARUT, age 78, Of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, passed away on SEPTEMBER 19, 2021

The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held at ST. PAUL’S CO-CATHEDRAL ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2021 at 9:00 in the morning with the REVEREND FATHER STEFANO PENNA OF ST. PAUL’S CO-CATHRDRAL officiating. RITE OF COMITAL will follow at HILLCREST MEMORIAL GARDENS, 210 WESS ROAD. Visitation will be held at ST. PAUL’S CO-CATHEDRAL on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2021 from 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm.

ESTRELITO MONROY BARUT was born in JORDAN, SINAIT, ILOCOS SUR, PHILIPPINES to JOSE DAYOAN BARUT and BIBIANA MONROY BARUT on FEBRUARY 21, 1943. He worked as a farmer in the Philippines until he came to Canada in September of 2018. He enjoyed having a hot coffee in the morning and heading to the farm after. He loved going to the houses of his friends, making small talk and having chit chats with them and he loved joking around with all of the people that he met.

Estrelito is survived by his wife MARIA BARUT; his children, MARY LITA SEQUITA (husband ROLANDO SEQUITA, children; JOSE ROMAR SEQUITA and ROMALLY ANNE SEQUITA), VENUS BARUT (husband JOE PIRA, children; BIBIANA PRESCILLA PIRA and JULIO PIRA), MANNELYN BARUT AND (COMMON LAW PARTNER RANDY BACANEG, children; MICKAYLLA BUCANEG, MARCO BUCANEG and MERRY JANE BUCANEG) and MATTHEW BARUT; sister, ALICIA SYSING (SAMUEL) and their child SAMANTHA SYSING; Sister; EVELYN FILOTEO (JUN) and their children JENNY HO and JILL RICHARDS; Sister in law, ESTHER BARUT and her children; GILBERT BARUT AND ARIEL BARUT; and step-mother MUSTIOLA BARUT.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, JOSE BARUT and BIBIANA BARUT, brother ARSENIO BARUT and sister ANITA NEVDOFF.

He will be dearly missed by many more extended family members all around the world.
