Obituary of Brian Dahl
Brian Emil Dahl
1955-2017
It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Emil Dahl announce his sudden passing after a brief battle with cancer. He passed away shortly after midnight on Sunday February 26, 2017 surrounded by family. Brian was predeceased by his father Emil Dahl. He was survived by his mother Jean (Forsberg) Dahl, partner Mero Ellmore, children Ross, Kim (Luke), Chad (Lisa) Dahl, mother of his children Beatrice Dahl, grandchildren Lance and Emily Dahl, siblings Bob (Karen), Brad (Sheralee), Bruce (Alexis), uncle Bill (Penny Paget) Forsberg, along with cousins, nieces and nephews. Brian was born on December 20, 1955 in Outlook, Sk. He spent his early years in Outlook, before moving to Saskatoon. He completed most of his education in Saskatoon, graduating high school in Meadow Lake. In his adult years, Brian lived in North Battleford, Calgary, Osler, Ardath, Saskatoon and Weyburn. While living in Osler, his three children were born: Ross (1983), Kim (1985), and Chad (1986). Brian spent most of his career as a truck driver, and would tell anyone that he was “the best there ever was.” One of Brian’s favorite hobbies was playing billiards/nine ball, at which he was quite accomplished. He also spent many happy years at his parent’s cabin at Weyakwin Lake. In recent years, he looked forward to annual family trips to the lake, and greatly enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Brian also enjoyed many trips to the Spa in Moose Jaw. His family would like to thank the Palliative Care nurses and staff at St. Paul’s Hospital for the excellent care they provided.
