Janet Patricia Maskwa (Twordik)
January 8, 1958 – June 7, 2021

It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of our mother Janet. Mom passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on June 7, 2021. Mom was born on January 8, 1958 at St Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, SK; she attended St. Gerard and E.D. Feehan schools; and worked for SaskPower until the day of her passing.

Mom is now in her happy place up in heaven with Dad who she has dearly missed since his passing. Mom loved the sun; you could always find her laying in the sun with her dark coconut oil whether somewhere on the deck or in the back seat of the boat with her five of diamonds waiting to catch the next fish.

Mom is survived by her two Children: Dawn (Jeff) Friesen and David (Chelsea St Jean); and three grandchildren, Cameron, Brynn, and Sutton; her siblings: Loretta (Arnold) Friesen, Rita Twordik, Sal (Shirley) Twordik, George (Cathy) Twordik, and Lester (Myra) Twordik; In-laws Emily Maskwa, Wayne (Diane) Maskwa, John (Lorriane) Maskwa, Judy (Bruno) Bedard, and Dwayne Maskwa.

Predeceased by her husband Terry in 2012, George and Veronica Twordik (mother and father), Michael Maskwa (father-in-law), and Bonnie Ditto (niece). Services will be held at St. Patrick’s Parish (Covid-19 restrictions of 150 persons apply) beginning with Prayers on Friday June 11, 2021 at 8:00 pm, followed by the Funeral on Saturday June 12, 2021 at 1:30 pm. Mom will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery.
