Obituary of Alex Mazoka

Alex Mazoka Alex passed away on July 25, 2015 at the age of 86. He was born on the family homestead near Hafford, SK on October 8, 1928 and grew up in the Oscar Lake District. He farmed the land, hauled cream, enjoyed fishing with his brothers and helping out his neighbours until he moved to Saskatoon in 1959 where he worked at Intercontinental Packers for 32 years until his retirement. He made lifelong friends at the plant, took great pride in the work he did, and enjoyed reminiscing about those good old days. Alex enjoyed a quiet and relaxing retirement spending countless days with his grandchildren. In 1965 Alex married Roseline Rusteika and together they raised three sons: Wayne (Connie), Darryl (Julia) and Mervin (Gena). Also left behind to cherish the memories are grandchildren Larissa, Maranda, Baily, Chelsey, Braunson, Kaitlyn and Spencer. Alex was predeceased by his parents Alphonse and Anna; his sister Mary; and his brothers Fred and Pete
