Donna & Stuart,
We have so many wonderful memories when we think of your mum whom we called "Grandma P".
She "diligently searched" out my brother, Segun & I in Kitchener/Waterloo in 1990 after we hadn't seen her since we were 3 or 4 years old!
She gave me the money for my 1st computer. She always sent letters & money to my brother & I at Christmas time.
She insisted on learning my wife, Katherine's Nigerian name & that's what she called her!
She always asked after my parents, siblings & was genuinely interested in what was going on in our lives!
She wondered why I was always in a hurry when visited her in Saskatoon but I told her once that when we get to heaven, I will spent the first 1 million years at her house!
We will truly will miss her warmth & kindness even from just speaking to her on the phone.
These 2 quotes sum up best what we think of her.
“It’s so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone.”
–John Steinbeck, The Winter of Our Discontent
“What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”
–Helen Keller
We pray that the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, will comfort you all in this difficult season of loss, sorrow & grieving.
