Obituary of Noreen Victorine Moore
Noreen was born in Shoal Lake on June 5, 1967. The attendance at her birth were the midwives: Bella Young (late) and Hannah Kitchener (late). Bella Young gave her a Cree name at the time of her birth because she came early and from then she carried her nickname: “mamasees”, she carried her nickname from there on. Noreen received her grade 12 diploma in Red Earth at JWHMEC and again in Saskatoon at SaskPolytech. Her passion was to get a degree in becoming a mechanic. Noreen lived in Shoal lake and Red Earth until she was a young lady, she moved to Nipawin, then later to Saskatoon where she resided until her passing. Noreen loved to watch her favourite team play, the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
She worked at the Oasis Centre in Nipawin and Gilbert Moore Memorial Store. She worked and volunteered along side Joy Hanson as well as many others from 1994-1996. Noreen was a caring, loving woman. She was very talkative, loved to eat traditional food, and loved to play 10,000 (dice game) with friends and family whom she gave many of them her nicknames. She was very helpful with family, often babysat, would help her family and friends clean and cook. She made everyone who knew her laugh.
Noreen is survived by her loving mom Linda Head, her children; Trent Moore, Devon Moore, Destiny Moore, and Giselle Moore and her children: Mikelle, Declan. Her siblings: Dwayne (Rhonda), Grant (Judaline), Beverly (Donald), Victoria (Kevin), Jessica, Jennifer (Ernest), William, and Leeroy. As well as her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father George Moore, her uncle Edmund Moore, her sister Lorna Head, One miscarriage: Baby Moore, Aunties: Joyce Moore, Maureen Genelle, Eleanor Young, Gladys Constant, Paternal Grandparents: Harry and Amelia Moore, Maternal Grandparents: John and Stella Mckay, Nieces Bridget and Trisha Moore, Justice and Lindsay Moore, Nephew Travis Moore, Keifer Moore, Cousin Victor Bobby Moore “Commissioner”, Christina Missy Moore, her grandchildren, Santonio Bird, Baby Bear Mckay (4), Baby Whitecap Umperville, Baby Bear Moore (2).
A Wake service will be held on Saturday, July 13th, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until midnight at Christ Church Anglican (515 28th Street W). and again on Sunday, July 14th, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. from Westwood Funeral Chapel (1402 20th St. West). The Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 15th, at 2:00 p.m. from Westwood Funeral Chapel.
