Obituary of Ernest Ethier
Ernie Peter Ethier passed away suddenly on Monday, June 25, 2018. Ernie was born March 31, 1949 in Batoche, SK. He leaves to mourn his girlfriend Linda Ramsay of Saskatoon, his brothers Terry Ethier of Saskatoon, Roy Ethier of Edmonton and Nelson Ethier of Saskatoon, his step-daughters Kit Ramsay (Kevin) of Saskatoon, her daughters Trinity Wells and Ivy Rediron, and LouAnn (Del) Roach of Saskatoon and their children Josh, Curtis and Alyssa, his nieces and nephews Kelcee (Mike) Pawluski of Saskatoon and their children Braedee, Chazen and Leighton, Jae-Anne (Devon) Peace of Saskatoon and their daughters Taylor, Lexi and Avery. Tosh (Katie) Gable of Edmonton and their daughter Finley, Alicia Ethier of Edmonton, Kirk (Sharri) Ethier of Saskatoon and their son Logan, Rod Ethier of Saskatoon and Kelly Ethier of Saskatoon and her children Brooklyn and Jase.
Ernie also known as Uncle Tot by all his nieces and nephews will be dearly missed. Uncle Tot will be missed in the stands where he was known to cheer on his nephews in their hockey and baseball games. He enjoyed going and watching Trinity’s roller derby games and he was Kit’s maintenance man. He spent most of his life working for the City of Saskatoon, where he retired 4 years ago. His days were now spent visiting family. Every Sunday he would attend Church at St. John’s.
Ernie was a New York Yankees fan and he kept everyone informed on who was leaving or getting traded to the Yankees. He enjoyed watching the WPCA chuckwagon races. Even though he was not much of a traveler, along with his girlfriend and her family he attended the Calgary Stampede numerous years to watch the races. His prized possession was his car, he was always known to have a nice clean car.
Ernie was predeceased by his parents Charlie and Irene Ethier and his brother Lionel Ethier.
Visitation for Ernie will be held from 7:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. on Thursday, June 28th and the Funeral Service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Friday, June 29th. Both services will be held at Westwood Funeral Chapel (1402 20th St. West)
